Zoom - How to Install the Zoom Desktop Application

Download the Zoom client for Meetings

  • Launch your desired Internet browser and navigate to the Camosun's Zoom Landing Page.
  • Click on Download to get the Zoom desktop client: 

  • You will be redirected to the Zoom the Download Center on Zoom website at Zoom.us/download.
  • On the Download Center page, click "Download" under the "Zoom Client for Meetings" section.

The next steps vary based on your choice of Internet browser:


  Firefox : Click on Save File to begin downloading the Zoom Installer.


 

 Google Chrome: At the bottom left corner of your screen, click on the "down arrow" and scroll up to Show in folder to locate the Zoom installer file.

 

 Internet Explorer: At the bottom of your screen you will get a prompt to either

  • Run (there is no need to navigate to the Downloads folder)  
  • Save the installer application.

 

 


 

Install the Zoom client for Meetings

Navigate to the Downloads folder on your computer and double-click on the Zoom Installer Application ZoomInstaller.exe file to begin the installation process.

 

 

Once the installation process is finished, a screen appears prompting the user to either Join a Meeting or to Sign In.
